This is the last known catalog of staking tools issued by K&D. The date is taken from the back cover, where there is a small notation "ST86". It seems plausible that this means "Staking Tools 1986".
The catalog is definitely later than 1972 given the use of the name "K&D Manufacturing Corporation". K&D Manufacturing Corporation was incorporated in New Hampshire in 1972.

This catalog is in very good condition, with the exception some rusting of the staples and associated staining. As with the ca. 1972-1986 catalog, the production quality is a step down from the 1961 catalog. The cover and pages are all simple thick white card stock vs. the slick, two-color cover of the 1961 catalog. In addition, the copy is poorly printed, with the text out of square with the page margins and the pages themselves cut out of square.
When I first started researching these tools, the title "Staking Tools and How To Use Them" caused a lot of confusion. It took me some time to figure out that, over the nearly 100 years of production, K&D used this same title to describe their:
1910 catalog and reference manual
1961 general tools catalog (including staking tools)
ca. 1972-1986 staking tools catalog
and this 1986 staking tools catalog. The same title was also used by Arlington Books (and others?) for various reprints issued the 1980s of the reference manual portion of the 1910 publication.
While it's true that this catalog contains some commentary on the use of the staking tools advertised within, it in no way compares to the depth of technical instruction K&D included in their 1910 reference manual.
The part numbers used in this catalog match the 1988 price list.
This catalog appears to be identical to that reproduced by Lucchina and Perkins in "The Watchmakers' Staking Tool", pages 92-117. Luchina and Perkins omit the front and back covers of this catalog.
Screen resolution images of all catalog pages are posted below.
